The Yachtsman Hotel & Marina

A quiet and colorful waterfront stay right in the heart of Kennebunkport!

I never knew how much I loved a good harbor side bungalow until Drew and I had ourselves a "staycation" at The Yachtsman Hotel & Marina Club.

We knew we needed to get away. I had just finished my final round of medical school board exams, and we were 1 month in to being new puppy parents. Yikes! Drew and I were due for a little rest and recovery. Thank goodness we had booked ourselves a stay here. It is honestly the perfect place to relax and unwind!

The rooms are gorgeous and immaculate, decorated in beautiful bold colors. With doors that open on to your own private patio steps away from the marina. Talk about an insane view! It honestly took my breath away, and it was a perfect spot to sit and have a glass of wine in the evening, and enjoy our morning coffee.

There is also an outdoor common space located between the two wings of the hotel. Here, you can enjoy cocktail hour at sunset, as you watch the boats get tucked in for the evening.

A big perk about this hotel is that it's located walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. Lucky for us we had reservations at The Boathouse Restaurant. Drew enjoyed a gigantic lobster roll, while I was able to munch on a vegan and gluten free dish. It's not often restaurants can accommodate both of those dietary restrictions, so I was impressed!

To top it all off, you can use the kayaks from the yacht club and take them out for a paddle into the harbor. Renting kayaks in Maine in peak summer season can be a pricy activity, so the idea that it's included in your stay is such a bonus!

As you can probably tell by now.. we highly recommend staying here. We felt all the staff were unbelievably helpful and professional, and views were just unbeatable. If any of you have any more questions feel free to ask away!
